Emily Fortney is an educator, singer, writer, photographer and activist living in Treaty #29 territory- the traditional homelands of the Anishinaabeg (Sarnia, Ontario). She believes love is the work humans are meant to do and enjoys throwing love into the nooks and crannies of motherhood, into the exploration of life after school teaching and understanding and transforming social justice issues.

 

You will often find her along the shores of Lake Huron, hosting events in her nineteenth century log cabin, running through farm fields or exploring local spaces to take photographs and enter into frequently inconvenient, and sometimes comical, conversations with her surroundings.
